Coaches / Managers, As we enter 2012 it will be close to thinking about that time again when we all need to see if our muscles are in shape, and if not, start getting them ready for this year’s Engineers’ Club Softball League! I spoke with Roger Berry, coordinator of the Forest Park softball fields, today to let him know we have 5 teams interested for the Tuesday night league this year. He and I will be working on getting an 8 team league (try again) put together but in the mean time get your applications in ASAP and be sure to mark on it Tuesday – Forest Park – Aviation SB #3 Men’s (C/R) Competitive Rec League and put on the top of the application “Engineers’ Club League.”
The reason for men’s competitive rec league is that they allow up to, but no more than, 3 home runs a game. If we went to a lower classification each home run would be considered an out. I vaguely remember there were two or so teams in our league that had a couple of guys that could hit it that far so we didn’t want to penalize them.

League fees will be $525.00. Please send me your team’s name for this year and the coach and/or manager of the team. I spoke to a couple of the team’s representatives thus far and have heard that some changes have occurred since last year. I’ll have more updates as the deadline (February 17th) grows near, but for now get those applications in!

Please reference the attached registration form if you have not received one yet. Also, please feel free to contact me at 314-941-6657 or scottjsmithpe@gmail.com if you have any questions. Looking forward to another great year!

Thank you,

Scott
