The Engineers’ Club of St. Louis, in cooperation with the Engineering Foundation of St. Louis, announces the following scholarships for the year 2011, for students pursuring an accredited engineering degree:

The Leon Adler Memorial Scholarship, a one-year $2,500 scholarship, is given to a student entering the freshman year.

The Engineers’ Club Member Recognition Scholarship, a one-year $2,500 scholarship, is given to an undergraduate student in any year including entering the freshman year.

The Jake Jare Memorial Scholarship, a four-year $2,500/year scholarship, is given to a student entering the freshman year. The scholarship recipient is required to meet the scholarship-renewal requirements each year.

The David X. and Sarah Greenberg Memorial Scholarship, a one-year scholarship of $1,000, is given to an undergraduate student in any year including entering the freshman year at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

The Donald J. Mathews' Young Engineers Scholarships, two one-year scholarships of $2,500 each, are given respectively to a college freshman entering the sophomore year and a college sophomore entering into the junior year. The scholarships are made possible by donations from the Young Engineers Committee of the Engineers' Club, in cooperation with the Engineering Foundation of St. Louis.

Each scholarship applicant has the responsibility of identifying a member of the Engineers' Club who would be willing to serve as a sponsor. Applicants are urged to ask friends and relatives for the names of engineers and then contact them to see if they are members of the Club and would be willing to serve as sponsors. Applicants can also contact local engineering companies to see if anyone is willing to discuss sponsoring them.

The Engineers' Club is collaborating with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers to process their scholarship applications.
